Soul

Beauty As Designed for the soul of the woman begins with transformation of the soul. According to scripture, the soul is defined as the Will, Mind(Intellect) and Emotion. After an individual is “born again”, “re-birthed” or “saved” through the acceptance of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within their fleshly body. Their spirit is saved but their soul, including mind, has to be renewed. God desires that His children’s lives image or mirror Him. This can only be accomplished if our mind, will and emotion’s “line-up” with his holy scripture.  Through the renewing of the mind, conforming our will and the subjection of our emotions to His will, we will began to experience beauty in Christ and all that He has designed for us to be. We are not born with this mindset or desire. Due to the fleshly nature of mankind, we ALL naturally desire sinful deeds. This can only be changed through the renewing of the mind.In order to align our sinful soul with the righteousness of almighty God, we have to align it with the word of God. Through renewing our mind and thoughts and conforming our will to God’s will, we can begin to experience beauty in Christ as God designed.
PRACTICAL STEPS TO RENEWING THE SOULMIND, WILL and EMOTIONS

1.Acceptance of God’s truth:So many Christians still believe in relativity in regards to truth. Some are not firm believers in the unadulterated truth of God’s word. Some believe that truth is relative is dependent on the individual or circumstance. In order to start the process of renewing the soul and mind, individuals must accept the scripture as the whole-hear-ted truth and be willing to submit their life to its direction.2. Learn God’s word: In as little as 5 minutes a day, Christian believers can study God’s word through reading, study tools, teachings, cd’s, dvd’s, music, media, church, bible study and other christian gatherings. I found that doing this prior to starting my day ensures the smooth running of the rest of my day.

3. Prayer: Prayer is simply “talking to God”. Although lengthy intercession is definitely a ministry, Jesus give’s us a basic template for prayer in the four gospels. Prayer does not have to take hours(although this is fine). If all you have is 15 minutes, God can use 15 minutes of sincere, sanctified time.

4. Meditation: After diligently pursuing step 1, Christians must meditate on the word of God so that our mind can be renewed with righteous thinking. If an issue arises where our natural tendency is to react, act or respond based on our normal thought pattern, with knowing, understanding and meditation on God’s word, we can use the word of God as a filter and basis for all of the decisions that we make.

5. Application: After steps 1-4, an individuals soul will grow in sensitivity to the conviction of the Holy Spirit through their knowledge, prayer and meditation on the scripture. Before total transformation can occur, he or she MUST apply the word of God to their everyday lives. Without application, it is unprofitable. Have you ever met a person who was highly knowledgeable in the things of God but lacked obedience, humility, blessings, transformation and lifestyle, thus laced POWER?

The Holy Bible and what it contains is a magnifying glass for the believer. God’s ways are not our ways and His desire is for us to be more like Him. How can we be like Him if we don’t know about Him? He is the word and the word is Him.

John 1:1-In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
As I woman, I believe that women are more sensitive to their emotions when compared to men. We are often led astray due to the deceitfulness of our heart, feelings, soul and emotions. We have to work hard at ensuring the transformation of our soul, feelings, heart and mind through diligent renewal of our minds.

Romans 12:2-And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.Ephesians 4:22-23-You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds .
